Praised for her "full, focused soprano," Caitlin Gotimer, originally from Malverne, NY, recently completed her second year as a Resident Artist with Pittsburgh Opera. This season, Caitlin appeared as the title role in Handel's Alcina and Tink Enraught in Peter Hilliard's The Last American Hammer. Caitlin was scheduled to sing Clotilde in Bellini's Norma and Micaëla in Bizet's Carmen, which were both cancelled due to COVID-19. Caitlin was scheduled to sing Armida in Handel's Rinaldo with the Glimmerglass Festival prior to COVID-19. She is currently participating in Glimmerglass's virtual Young Artist Program.
For the 2020-21 season, Caitlin will join the Marion Roose Pullin Arizona Opera Studio. Originally scheduled to perform Stella in Previn's A Streetcar Named Desire, Micaëla in Bizet's Carmen, and Gianetta in Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore, Caitlin looks forward to performing in a variety of concerts and scenes programs during Arizona Opera's Reimagined 2020-21 season.
